TAILORED COURSES AND CLASSES

I love to work with expatriates, as well as first and second generation migrants in Berlin.

I love to work with expatriates, as well as first and second generation migrants in Berlin.

Berlin's cultural communities are manifold, and they represent multitudes of experiences, backgrounds, and individual positions.

My students have a wide variety of motives to enroll in my courses, and understanding where my student stands is essential in order to know what I can offer.
My approach is guided by

- intercultural competence
- individual respect
- skill level adaptation
GRASSROOTS TECHNIQUES

I include low-threshold and easy to access methods in my classes.
With these unconventional and edgier techniques I hope to convey accessibility and encourage imitation.

INTERCULTURAL FASHION CONCEPTS

I offer classes and workshops teaching textile, design upcycling courses.

My students include all ages, all backgrounds, all levels.

With my courses, I want to encourage students to see a design decision as a universal decision:
An opportunity to evaluate, choose, and decide based on your idea.

PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT

With my classes, I hope to further empowerment and individual decision making in my students' other spheres as well.

I therefore keep my course content close to the needs and ideas of my students.

FASHION AS A GROWING TOOL

Upcycling techniques offer a great opportunity to learn about personal impact on a small scale.
Hand sewing has a soothing and focusing effect.

All my course contents are tailored to meet my students' interests, needs and skills, as well as a project's goals of personal development.

INTERCULTURAL TEACHING

Intercultural Teaching means that there is a lot to learn for me as well.

In keeping a learning attitude myself, me and my students meet on a level playing field.
FASHION AS A TOOL

I have a degree in Fashion Design and a BA in International Relations and Arabic.

I love creating stuff, and creating environments of personal growing.

I speak German, English, French, and Arabic.
My techniques include:

- Manual textile printing
- Printing shirts with the Cutting Plotter
- Upcycling garments
- Hand and Machine Sewing
